2008 Monthly Meeting Schedule

Regular meetings are held at the Ward Meade Park Garden Center, 124 NW Fillmore, on the second Tuesday of each month at 7:00 p.m.

The parking lot is lighted. Anyone in Shawnee or adjacent counties with an interest in rose culture may be a member of the Topeka Rose Society. During the summer months we do hold meetings at different locations, please check below.

January 8 – Installation of Officers – Winter Social

February 12 – Fabulous Floribundas, an ARS program – Presenter, Henry Betty

February 15, 16 and l7th – Lawn and Garden Show – Ks Expo Center

March 11  – Tips on Selecting and Planting Roses – Annette Jackson, Jacksons Greenhouse

April 8  – Lets Start Our Own Rose – Propagation – Presenter – Greg Laird

May 13 – Preparing for the show – Basic Things to Know – Bob and Susie Sachs

June 1st – Sunday – TRS Spring Rose Show, Topeka – Shawnee County Public Library, Open to the Public from 1:30 pm to 4:30 pm.

June – Vacation time – no meeting

July 8  - What is IPM (Integrated Pest Management) Is the program for you? – Presenter George Schureman, Consulting Rosarian

August 12 – A Presentation of the Lake Shawnee Rose Garden – Julie Trowbridge, Horticulturist

September 9 –  Earth Kind Roses, (Low Maintenance Roses) – Presenter, Henry Betty

October 14 – The Premier of TRS – Reinsish Power Point Project – Presenter - TRS Power Point Team
